HT82A832R USB Telephone (Audio) MCU

Holtek Semiconductor has presently released its new HT82A832R USB Phone OTP MCU device. As well as device's important functions of having a fully integrated USB 1.1 Serial Interface Engine and integrated digital to analog converter, it also includes a fully integrated high power amplifier within its embedded microcontroller, giving designers a new platform to provide an even more expedient means of design and manufacturing. The additional advantages of being supplied as a One Time Programmable, OTP type, gives the device an intrinsic flexibility and advantage to respond quickly to any requirements for application extensions or modifications.

With the provision of this USB Phone microcontroller solution by Holtek, designers are provided with a unique ability to quickly and efficiently develop internet phone related products, in the process getting their products to market as quickly as possible. The high level of integration achieved within the device reduces the demands on external components, which together with the consequential benefits of reduced PCB area, provides an excellent MCU solution with high competitive advantages.

At the core of the HT82A832R device exists a Holtek 8-bit microcontroller, which includes 4Kx15 of Program Memory capacity as well as 192x8 bytes of Data Memory. Included in its many other functions and features are its Power-down and wake-up functions.

The device has a working voltage of 4.2V~5.5V and can operate at a maximum frequency of 12MHz. The device provides 24 I/O lines, and was specifically designed for the USB Phone series of MCU devices.
