Functional Description
Question 1
How is the LED driver function used?
Answer
The PC and PE ports on the HT46R322 PC port have high sink and source I/O current drive capabilities respectively. Together they can be used to drive an 8x8 LED matrix. When used in this way, the PC port should be connected to the LED cathode while the PE port should be connected to the LED anode.
Question 2
In the HT46R322, how is the operational amplifier and comparator function chosen?
Answer
The HT46R322 contains an integrated operational amplifier and comparator. In the configuration options there is a Comparator/OP function, which selects which function is to be used.
Question 3
How is the operational amplifier/comparator turned on and off?
Answer
Bit 7, which is the OPAEN bit in the OPAC register of the HT46R322, is used to control the on/off function of the operational amplifier/comparator. When the bit is equal to 1, the operational amplifier/comparator will be on. When the bit is equal to 0 the operational amplifier/comparator will be off resulting in floating outputs, which will reduce the power consumption.

Application Description
Question 1
How is the op-amp and comparator calibrated in the HT46R322 and HT46R342 ?
Answer
1. Set AOFM = 1 (Bit 5 of the OPAC register) to chose the input offset voltage cancellation mode.
2. Set ARS (Bit 4 of the OPAC register), select the input reference voltage pin
3. Adjust the value of bits AOF0~AOF3 (Bit 0~3 of the OPAC register) until the output state of OPAOP (Bit 6 of the OPAC register) changes state.
4. Set AOFM = 0, chose the normal operation mode.
